CompTIA Press
CompTIA Press is a comprehensive line of courseware and related products aimed at information technology (IT) professionals who are studying for CompTIA certification exams.
The formation of CompTIA Press is “to advance industry growth through standards and professional competence” and this includes the development and support of vendor neutral certifications. We believe establishing publishing partnerships will help us achieve the following objectives:
- Reinforce the value of certification for our members, certification holders and the industry at large
- Ensure timely delivery of certification materials for exam revisions and new certifications
- Implement strategies to increase the number of individuals who become certified after training
The overall goal is to promote and support the value of certification as it directly relates to CompTIA's mission as the leading global IT trade association.
Will there be a CompTIA Press book for all of CompTIA's certifications?
All active certifications will have supporting CompTIA Press materials by October 2005.
Who are CompTIA Press publishing partners?
Thomson Course Technology, which offers more than 1,600 print and technology-based products for business and technology training, is currently the first and only publishing company to team with CompTIA to deliver CompTIA Press textbooks, study guides and other materials related to the association's certifications for IT professionals. Other publishing partners may be added as CompTIA explores markets outside of the corporate and commercial training centers in North America.
Where can I find CompTIA Press materials?
CompTIA Press branded materials can be found by going directly to the Thomson Course Technology site.
I noticed CompTIA Press books have a CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum (CAQC) designation on them. What does this mean?
CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum (CAQC) training materials are reviewed by industry experts to ensure they meet strict quality standards and exacting requirements. CAQC approved training material is required for use in many CompTIA training environments and CompTIA Press materials are required to be CAQC approved. CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum will continue to be available from third parties, offering certification candidates additional resources for curricula, products, and services that map to CompTIA certifications.
